"Think Outside the Court"
Divorce Mediation Process

The "Think Outside the Court" mediation process is a one-stop shop.

When most people think of divorce, they have in mind a process where they let a judge make decisions affecting the long-term impact on their family. You would be better off deciding on your own these life-altering decisions:

  • How property is divided

  • Where the kids sleep at night

  • How much financial support is paid

That is why Keith Grossman offers mediation as a private alternative to litigation,
which can be used in divorce, paternity, and other family law matters.

By the end of the process, people are very pleasantly surprised by A) the bill and B) the length of time that it takes to complete.

You Have a Highly Experienced Neutral Partner Guiding You

Keith has helped spouses have effective discussions around difficult family topics for almost 30 years. Keith knows how to break down resistance, find common ground and keep you focused. Keith helps you with essential listening and questioning skills.

You Have the Power, Not the Judge

Keith provides a crash course on basic Florida Divorce Law concepts, so you have the information needed to negotiate fairly. You are in complete control. With no court decisions being handed down until after an agreement is reached, we can draft and re-draft your agreement as you see fit.

You Tell Your Spouse What Would Help You Move On

Mediation takes place in a relaxed and neutral atmosphere, which encourages collaboration and brainstorming for solutions. It is based on concepts of negotiation and communication, and it emphasizes self-determination, the needs and interests of the participants, flexibility, and fairness. You tell your spouse what you would like to establish for the benefit of your children, how you would like to divide your property, and how much you need to live on. Mediation is considered a success when both participants feel they have “won”.

Process Works

(This is not your attorney's mediation.)

How Much Does Mediation Cost?

Save Tens of Thousands of Dollars
No exhausting court hearings. No high-priced attorneys. No confusion.

The collaborative atmosphere of mediation can lead to a mutually acceptable agreement in less time without the need to prepare for full-scope litigation. Most participants require 8 hours in mediation.

The cost of mediation is shared equally by both participants. I offer a flat fee of $3,000 per party for up to 8 hours. If you prefer not to play a flat fee, or you need additional time, my normal hourly rate is $400/hour per party.

You pay as you as go if you don' t choose the flat rate.
